2 tablespoons of cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 slices fresh ginger root, cut in shreds
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
¼ cup of sesame seeds, toasted
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
Remove bony tips from chicken wings. Cut remainder of each wing into two pieces at the joint. Heat oil in a wok or skillet.
Add garlic and ginger root. Stir briefly and add chicken wings. Brown wings lightly adding the soy sauce – stirring for a minute or two.
Cover tightly and simmer for about 10 minutes. Uncover, increase heat and continue cooking until sauce is almost evaporated and chicken wings are glazed. Remove from the heat, season to taste. Just before serving, add sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
